I recently downloaded AOL 9.0 optimized and it fucking sucked so I deleted it. I wanted to change my homepage on internet explorer this morning and realized when I click on Control Panal, Internet Options I can no longer see a place where I can change my homepage, view recent files, delete cookies or delete my history pages, I cannot find it at all. This is quite puzzling to me since the homepage I have now is really annoying and wanted to change it back to Viper Alley. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know how they can help me? All that I have in my Internet Options tabs are: Security, Privacy, Content, Connections and Advanced.......no GENERAL tab! Its fucking sorry to say the least. :help:

I do it usually from the explorer itself, Tools, Internet Options

In the Help, About, what version is reported?
Version 6.......same thing man, can't change it that way either, fuck. Actually to tell you the truth I think I contracted to worm with AOL 9.0 and had to delete it and haven't had a chance to download it again.

you can try disloging it by going through the windows registry... only if you trust you have the skill, otherwise you can do more harm...

Start/run: Regedit.Exe (or regedt32.exe)
do a find for the value "Start Page" (or go directly there)
for me it's in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

double click on the Value, and you can edit its data... set it to http://viperalley.com or something like that.

There is another copy of the key under
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
