I really like the profile of this car - more like the Viper I know and love. Sure I might want narrower stripes or a less aggressive rear bumper - but its a prototype and we'll see how where they go from here.

You can't please everyone all the time - and I think alot of people are looking for a production-version of the CC; but I don't see that happening....

Love the front and back view. From the side it needs help. I give it a C+. Both the SRT10 is starting to grow on me too. Nothing will beat a GenI or GenII.. How about a GenII with the GenIII motor / brakes and some design improvements.. Would be nice too to have a CC street version..

I love the car too, as we have a bunch of DC engineers and designers who worked burning the Midnight Oil to have this 90% concept done just for us! I appreciate it, and I know they took our comments and viewpoints back with them to finish putting the icing on the cake. Got a feeling we will get our cake , and it will be good enough Gerald will be able to date Edith , too!

I agree 100% Bill. I happen to love the car! Same color as my 1st Viper in 1997. I even went out and bought a blue/white tooth brush. /images/graemlins/laughing.gif

A production version of the CC would be awesome. But this Coupe is GREAT! I can't wait!

I think it looks great! Just give us a LITTLE more DC!!! I gotta have one but I prollly won't be able to touch one until someone wants to, in the future, sell their SRT10 coupe... you see, I'm a bottom feeder... /images/graemlins/freak

Mine, too. lol

Blue/White is a classic. I refused to even consider the current SRT, but I would definately consider the Coupe depending on the price. $90k would be more than I would be willing to spend (Gen II coupes were in the $70s; and a 30% increase would be alot).

Amen to that!

$90k+ puts it much closer to the exotic price range, which was always a big selling point of the Viper by being almost half the price. Taxes would put it closer to $100k and thats a price I'd never pay for a car. Guess I'll be sticking to Gen II's.

I like the car. Woodhouse has a deposit from me. IMO only a couple of things need to change. It would be nice to use the look of tail lights from the CC. LED tail lights would be great as they will be standard issue on most high end cars soon. If they can maintain decent headroom for the masses while chopping a bit out of the height of the roof that would be another plus.

I love the new Coupe. You can debate the final content, gas cap style and location and lots of other product details. But we all know one thing for sure:

DODGE / DC / SRT ARE ALL SERIOUS ABOUT KEEPING THE VIPER OUT FRONT AND ON TOP.

Does this mean that it is going to kick the Ford GT's ass? Well probably not unless they want to raise the price beyond what most of us want to pay. SRT recognizes that there is a broad aftermarket for the Viper that can take the new coupe to levels far beyond the GT or Enzo for that matter.

I am not much of a corporate kiss ass, but here goes: THANKS DODGE / DC / SRT FOR THE VIPER SRT COUPE!

I agree with John, pictures don't do the car justice. This is the first
Gen III I have liked, wait, loved. I am a GTS fan all the way and this one will make all of us proud when we finally see it on the road. Good job DC!

I don't understand how a car that is cheaper to produce can cost more.
They think the market will bear the increased cost since there's been such an outcry for a coupe. I guess the answer to your question could also be summed up in one word: greed.

The only way a $90k price tag could even be close to justifiable is if the car has north of 600hp & 600lb/ft.

I agree 100%

Time for some forced induction.

An idea might to be to offer 2 different variants. A wild 600 h.p. forced induction car and a 525 h.p. "base" version
that COULD work but im not sure....you could have the "normal" version compete with say the C6 Z51...while the "wild" version goes after say the Ford GT, is that what your getting at??....i guess it could work but I think it would somewhat lessen the feel of the Viper....idk, i just dont really like the idea....i think it should be the "wild" version, or no version at all

Do you really want an "entry level" Viper? Isn't that how the Corvette ended up as a "secretary's car"?????????
