Ok, what is the difference between a Porsche Turbo and a Turbo with the new X50 package? What is the X50 package anyway? Is it better then a regular Turbo?

I'm pretty sure that the X50 still has the AWD. Lighter and RWD sounds more like the GT2. I thought that the x50 package has a little bit more power and different exhaust tips. I might be wrong though as I'm not a huge porsche fan anymore.

The X50 package does nothing but bump hp/tq through some ECU tweaking and perhaps some mild mods, not sure. It's still AWD - like mak says the GT2 is the more capaple rwd version.

If you are going to lease get the X50 and don't touch it. Regular Turbo is better foundation for upgrades. GT2 is the best.

aero package is an option, it doesn't come with the x-50 package.

Don't expect the X-50 to beat a viper. I bought a viper after being punished by a stock GTS while driving in a 02 X-50.. Then I spanked my friends X-50 and he went to SVD in Florida and had the 600hp system put on.. new turbos and all.. Only after that was it a close race.. My X-50 buddy has since sold his porsche and bought a GTS w/ heads & cam... If you want his honest opinion on the car let me know and put him in touch with him,, PRVT JET knows him too..

If you want the porsche to perform like it should, you really have to beat on it. a lot of the owners don't like that.

Mumford's stock X50 pulled on many a stock Viper Days cars. Needless to say, all drivers involved knew how to drive their cars. Production variances may vary results slightly but no way does an X50 get punished by a stock GTS unless the owner is an ass clown.

It shouldn't pull on a stock viper, they are same power and same weight. It would be a drivers race.

Well than have a word with Costellano.. he did the spanking in a 96 with muffler delete.. Over and over again..
