I was wanting to upgrade these before hitting Orlando Speedworld (not that Ill have any chance of hooking up at that track).

Ive seen different ones offered. Whats a good one to go with?
I am on a budget, so cost is a factor.

Thanks,
Jason

Get the Unitrax HD halfshafts. They wont break but they arent the cheapest. Around $800-900. Titanium units are substantially lighter, but cost around $1300. Even though Im using the titanium im not convinced that the weight benefit, even from a rotational standpoint is that significant being that hte shaft has such a small diamter. Ive heard stories about "other" half shafts, so to me, if you are going to spend money upgrading, its worth the extra $100-200 for the peace of mind.

What are the Unitrax ones made out of? Steel or 7075 or something?

Titanium is a whole 'nother animal. Seems most halfshaft failures are due to twisting forces, and without knowing the specific alloys being used for the Ti and the steel or AL, it's tough to know which are better. I would say that my gut feel is that the titanium ones may actually be weaker than a good steel one, considering what you're trying to prevent (failure from twisting)
