HI, I\'M NEW HERE. GREAT WEBSITE... ARE ALL VIPER REARS THE SAME?

I WANT TO GET GEARS FOR MY 01' BUT THE SET I FOUND, THE GUY SAY'S IT WILL ONLY FIT UP TP 2000. WHAT IS DIFFERENT? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

yeah, I know where the "R" goes, it is my 2nd Busa and 10th sportbike. But thanks for clearing that up. I just hope you are not one of those guy's who thinks their Viper is quicker than a Busa. Those people make me laugh. I can prove that theory not true.

i should clarify; a stock viper will get spanked by a busa, anyone knows that. but, a modded viper (which seems to be the standard now) will do just fine. dont believe me go check out mannys vid. correct me if im wrong but he walks a busa.

im sure a few here with the dlm or TT packages will chime in.

now, a modded busa /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif different story. either way its a close one

I have 3:55 gears in my 2000, but I'm not sure about putting them in a 2001. I'm sort of curious myself as to why he would say they won't work.

As far as the Busa goes, there are at least a handful of Vipers on this site alone that will walk a stock Busa. Sorry to rain on your parade.

I think because of the anti lock brakes in 01, I've noticed alot of parts for Vipers brake at the 00-01.
Maybe that's all it is.

I don't think there were differential differences between 2000 and 2001, were there? I'd call JonB at PartsRack, ask him, and ask his price.

Yea...I guess your right, I should not have stated how many bikes I had to a guy who was correcting my spelling instead of answering my question.

There is a difference and you have to use a spacer in the pinion gears. Call on Monday and talk to Mark Jorgensen and if you want to get really technical about it, he can get ahold of Rick Maxwell ( Viper Tech ).
