Hey Roof, what about a King of the Track prize for V-10 Nationals

Got an idea, what if we take the 1st place winners of each class and have them bracket race for title of "king of the Track." To make it a worthy prize I suggest that every car participating in the V-10 Nationals brings $50 cash to the gate when they check in, this might give a prize of about $2000 or more to the best driver of the 1st place winners. With a traditional bracket race everyone would have a chance to win , even the stock Vipers. What does everyone think??

its that simple, just like every IHRA track does for points series; dila in and dont break out, period, winner takes all. Im in!

BTR Tom does not need anymore trophy's and we do not need to help with his travel expenses.
Maybe if we handicap Tom with a 500lb weight and we leave on yellow and Tom has to wait 2 sec. after green.lol

ive never understood bracket racing and dialing in.
why not make it a true king of the track elimination series? ie...first one to the finish line wins each round.... who cares if you can consistently hit what you dial in? is that the goal? not to bust out? or is the goal to see who is the fastest...ie KING OF THE TRACK. and im not talking about the one with the best ET or TRAP....im talking about the first one to the finish line. isnt that the way real races are done?

Lawboy, essentially that is what we are doing on Saturday, first car across the line wins, this is just for the 1st place winners. Using the bracket system will balance the horsepower so that a stock Viper running 12.0 can have a chance against a guy like Dr. Roof who is running 9.5. We already have that taken care of, someone is going to remove his shift handle just before the race, so he will have to shift with the nub.
Lawboy; basically its a test of the best driver not vehicle and thats what bracket racing is about; how good is the driver and how well does he know his car.

Dr Roof, I think there would be time on Saturday, unless we are racing in San Antonio, LOL. In Bradenton there was time to run the tow vehicles at the end on Sunday. Every race things are going smoother and people know where to be. Since we are running the tow vehicles on Friday, I think there would be time on Saturday, just have all the cars line back up in the staging lanes after they win their class, with their time slips, take the best one and write it on the window. Thanks David, I know you have a full plate. Maybe if the $50 cash is too much for some then we could reduce it to $25, but I think the funds would have to be collected by all cars racing that enter the gate on Saturday, otherwise it won't be worth the clutches and rubber. I could take on this responsibility if the racers are interested in the running, however I plan on winning my class, so maybe I will volunteer Larry Macedo to do the work, thats if you need the help. You are in charge of this. we cannot collect at the gate but you can go and collect and write all particpants on paper and we can work out a cash heads up from that with the index head start. think about how you want to do it and let me know. we will try it
