FYI regarding pinging

My 2000 GTS had a severe pinging problem at medium to hard exceleration. Took the car in and there was a TSB on the exact problem I explained to the service rep. All they have to do is reflash the computer i think. So if any of you have this problem don't let the dealer say theres nothing they can do.

My 2000 Durango RT had the same problem and the dealer couldn't fix it so I just turned it back in to them and now its someone elses problem.

They probably did a reflash to pull timing advance out because of shittier octane rating of the local fuels. Both will cost you horsepower.
