Re: problem!!!!re. fog lights

Lights need voltage or ground. get a meter, try the wire coming from the car with power. do you see 12 volts? Yes-then check ground. No- is switch on, Y/N. Put meter on Rx1 or continuity, do you have a good ground Y/N you may gave to run a wire from the frame of the light to the negative side of the battery.

Did you install the fuse? Remove the fuse box cover under the hood, and under the dash...don't recall but there may be two, one for each side...Does your head lamp switch "pull out"? Meaning turn your running or head lamps on, then pull on the switch, this turns the fogs on...but your fuse(s) are probably not installed from the factory...

And we need to know specifically what was involved in the install, as one of our local Viper owners would like to install them in his 2001 Sapphire/Silver ACR...

Re: problem!!!!re. fog lights

there may not be a relay to run the lights. Check the relay cluster for a foglight relay along with a fuse. Some OEM's use a relay to power light so the switch doesn't carry a high load.

Good call...I forgot about the relay...but can't recall if there is one for the fogs, but if there is, it would be in the relay bank in the fuse box under the hood on the drivers side...

Your very welcome. While not a viper owner, they are one of the few cars that I feel Mr. Shelby put a heart into. the other would be the Cobra.
