Re: First SRT10 in the 10\'s

Thanks Anthony, JDawg and everyone interested in the SRT10. I cant go into all the details on how this test came about, but I can say that it took the help of a lot of people to get the car ready. Thanks again to the car owner, John Myrick and the guys I am so blessed to get to work with every day at the shop, Alan, Nick, Victor and Drew.

Seems like the SRT gets a bad rap a lot of the time due to its lack-luster styling. Well I hope we have helped to open a few eyes to the car's performance potential.

Z06 - we modified the stock crank as nothing else is available for the Gen 3. The LS6 on the other hand has a number of very good 4.00 in. stroker cranks out there. Ask Jayson or Old Man (young man) Rick at MTI, they know all the good options for your Z06.

So, with that, any plans for a revision of the Venom Aero Body for the SRT10? I still think nothing even remotely compares to the Venom Aero front end for the gen 1 and 2's.

Re: First SRT10 in the 10\'s

I drove the car to work this morning... This car can change your mind about the SRT-10's. The car is very impressive. John called me this morning to ask me what I thought of the car. My response... This car is fu..... fast. It's a totally different car.

People often ask which Viper I like better - my blue/white supercharged GTS or the black SRT-10. I typically answered their question by stating that if something were to happen that required me to get rid of one of the Vipers, it would be an easy decision. The SRT-10 would go and the GTS would stay. That was the "old" SRT-10. The car is now awesome and would now make that decision much more difficult.

John mentioned a dyno get together in Austin this weekend. I'll try to bring the SRT-10 if someone points me to the details of when and where.

Hey John,

Cangrats on the great numbers with your SRT10!!

Look at the top of the "Anything Goes" section of this board for details on the Austin gig.

The Dyno Day is Saturday morning at Maxwell Dodge at 10 am. I am heading out early Friday with a few of the Houston Crew. It looks like some of the Dallas Crew are heading out at 3-4 pm tomorrow with the rest meeting up at the dealership on Saturday. My cell is 281.467.5605 if you need to catch-up with us.

John, if you do a VenomAero kit, try to go more Comp Coupeish look - the autoform kit's too angular.
