What is the difference between the 550 and 575?

The 575 Modificata has a bigger motor, exhaust, a revised F1 transmission, some changes to the fascia and interior. Oh, and a new electronic constantly variable suspension setup.

I think the 550 has more soul with the six speed.

I'm partial to the 575 just because it has more power. But either one would be nice. I love the styling of the two, but I still think the 360 looks the best.

< - wants a 550 Barchetta like you wouldn't believe......

Sex on wheels...I've never lusted after an Italian so much before.

Well, that's not true...

I -really- want a 250 SWB...sigh.......(I have that dreamy look in my eye right now...)

Nah, they were both bone stock (well, Paul's had the Tubi exhaust). If the 575M was any better, Paul would have been all over it, too. It never really made sense to me, the 575M. I think they should have kicked out a 575LM street car in limited quantities instead until they roll out the new flagship car in a couple years.

But, hands down, if I had the caysh, the 550/575M would be my daily driver. It's a beautifully subdued car, it's fast, handles well, and doesn't beat you up at all. Pretty much the perfect GT car.
