Well, I took some code Don wrote and have been busting my ass to make it where we could have a gallery of Viper owners cars and their mods. The idea would be you could have your own "page" which had an image of your Viper and then any modifications/comments you wanted to put on there. I'd have a Browse/Search feature for people looking at cars and also be able to link people's profiles to their Viper Gallery if a user has one.

Its combined in with the FACTS pages and already integrated into the user system here in the forums. Taken to the 9th degree, I could even tie in Product Reviews for modifications that a user has added which are in the Product Reviews section.

Before I go any further with this - do people see this as a feature they would use? It is alot of work, but after three hours of just writing the Upload/Submit portion, I am wondering what people think before I continue.

You can make your own gallery by clicking on:

You can even edit your Gallery using the "edit" link under the title when viewing your own gallery. Only registered users can submit a gallery.

I'll finish up the search functionality, put links in Profiles for users with galleries and then link the product reviews to Owners Galleries for people who have modifications installed.

I would encourage people to upload Products for reviews as this will make the whole system shine - owners galleries linked to product reviews (which link to vendor reviews). Great for people who want to research mods and see how they look on people's cars.

Looks awesome! Now my next question is how do you get to the main Viper Gallery page with all these neat profiles to browse? Easy to track down the photo gallery, but am not sure how you get to the owner info pages such as you have listed above (and like the one I just did). Great job!

Well, there is now a SEARCH feature:

The search works where you can search by year, model, color or specific types of mods.

and a BROWSE feature:

And the Main Index page has been modified to show a random gallery feature.

People with more than one Viper they would like to make a gallery for can do so (Chuck!) and there will be an index to the members galleries when the profile link is clicked on (adding links to a users profile is on my list).

This is about 80% done now - still have to modify the Forums to add a link to an existing gallery in the profiles and then modify the Product Reviews to link to Owner galleries which have those mods.

Okay, pretty much done now. There is a button which appears under your name (to the left) MY VIPER which links to your gallery.

So, start creating your galleries!

Even the Product Reviews display who is using a product and links you to their owners gallery.

Now you have Owners Galleries linking to Product Reviews (and visa-versa) and Product Reviews linking to Vendor Reviews (and visa-versa).
