Anyone use a dyno shop in Northern California you can recommend?

Any preference? I've heard of the Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara. I guess each dyno is going to have its own biases, so I probably won't be able to compare the new numbers to the baselines I got at a dyno shop in SoCal, huh?

That's pretty much the size of it.

I wouldn't recommend Mustang Ranch, they'll nickle and dime you to death. Charged a friend extra because he wanted to spray. Then when it didn't work, they still said they were charging him the "nitrous price". Don't go there.

Apex has a dyno as well. It seems from experience that it reads low. If this will just be a baseline for future mods and you will consistantly go there I suppose I'd give them the nod.

There is also ATP in Fremont. They have an inground 4-wheel Dynojet. Really cool guys. Another car club I'm apart of has used them for dyno days on more than one occasion.

Also, there is Dyno Labs in San Ramon ( http://www.dynolabs.net/ ). Another really good guy. Just be sure to work out a session price ahead of time. He is kinda slow because he is really meticulous. Checks the oil, adds Mobile 1 if needed, checks tire pressure, etc. If you pay by the hour it might be more than a similar session. Just get a flat quote for a 3-run pull regardless of time and you'd be good.
