Does anyone know if it's possible to deactivate the power steering on a Viper, particularly a 98?

It's just a little thing, actually. I drove a friend's 91 NSX with no power steering. It required a lot more effort, but the control was absolutely awesome.

The NSX uses 205/50/15 size tires in the front, you would need a lot more effort with the viper. try parking a viper with no power steering.

That would be a nightmare for street driving...only lightweight/small tired cars should be without powersteering.

I drove a friend's RUF Porsche Twin Turbo with no powersteering once....If I had driven it too much farther, my forearms would have resembled Popeye's! The tires in the front of that car are not near 275's (like the viper's)....and you still had to really muscle the thing.
