I was originally planning on building an extra garage, but decided I would use that side of the house to hold a future boat and some other toys that would not fit in the garage. So I decided to expand the 4 car garage into a 6 car garage. For now though, I ordered just one car lift to see how it all would fit (giving me a 5 car garage.) Friday the guy came out and raised my garage doors to as close to the ceiling as he could get, in preparation for the Cytech car lift that was coming on Sunday.

Today it arrive and a couple hours later, it was up and running. Now it's all ready for when my DLM car arrives back from Florida real soon! For now, I'll just park my bike under it.

By the way, the lift can go up another 6 inches or so, allowing me to fit just about any car under the Viper, but that gives me about 1/2 inch of clearance from the roof of the car to the garage doors themselves (looks scary.) In the photos, it is high enough to allow just about any sports car under there.

I'm thinking of something like that so my girl can put her Montero in the garage.. I must have 6k in her stereo and leaving it outside worries me sometimes...

Thanks

Man, the install was a piece of CAKE. I asked the guy I bought the lift from who installs them locally, and walla, they came out and did it for me in 2 hours. I didn't break a sweat! /images/graemlins/thumb1 Seriously, it probably would have taken me and a friend all day (they had 4 guys doing it.) I don't think you can do it on your own without massive issues.

As for cost, they run about $3K each, but I got various things with it, like wheels so I can roll it around when needed, drip pans, aluminum approach ramps, etc.

Thanks,

This car actually had most of the mods already done to it that I would have done anyway. I added the 19 inch Purner wheels, changed the exhaust slightly (it used to be louder), stereo system, oil cooler and Nitrous. Nitrous before was running shitty, and I couldn't even break into the 700 horsepower range. Now it pulls nearly 800 RWHP and maxes out the torque reading on the dyno at 1000+.

Here are some photos:

WOAH! Wrong car. Was my previous Vette before the Z06. Loved the HRE wheels, hence the Purners which look so similar.

Thanks Chad. And yes, I would love to do an interior to match the exterior, but I use the car now mostly for the track, so until I decide exactly what I am going to do in terms of a Red RT/10 (keep this one or get a newer one) I have to hold off on the interior.

I love the looks of my silver seats -- they came out nice /images/graemlins/smiles

GTS is at DLM's -- I have yet to actually see the car in person. Doug was waiting on the rollbar from BTR (which should be there any day now) and to pop in the new seats from Snake Hydes when he pulls the old seats to put in the rollbar. I'm hoping to have the car back REAL, REAL soon now.
