I know 99.99% of you are set on the color combo you chose your Viper in, but if you had to do it differently (if you HAD to choose a DIFFERENT color), what color combo would you choose?

I had a red RT, and currently have a red with white stripes GTS. I always liked blue with white stripes. That color is bad ass on the viper. Yellow looks great and turns heads but I keep hearing that the yellow cars are slower so nix that one. I like the graphite with bone stripes. I was tempted to go that route for a while.

I have a black with silver strip. I would definately consider the blue w/ white strips or the grey on the ACR.

You have to keep in mind it has a lot to do with the year(s) you're looking into. Choices are limited. In my case, I wanted a new one, and in 2001 it was either red, yellow, or sapphire blue.

Everybody has red, so that was immediately out.

I actually had a sapphire blue GTS with silver stripes on order, but I changed it to a yellow RT/10 after I saw one in person -- and took a ride in an RT/10 with the top off.

The other reason I didn't like the sapphire blue is because I knew I'd be driving the car a lot (I'm averaging nearly 18K miles per year on the Viper and I barely drive it compared to my other vehicles) and dark colors like that are hard to keep clean, and hard to keep looking good (swirlies). So I was already leery of it, even though I had one on order, when I saw a Racing Yellow version.

I guess I sometimes wish I'd gone for a bumblebee GTS, but man... summertime with that top off...

I really like the bumblebee's, '02 graphite, '00 steel grey, '96/'97 blue and whites and the FE colors. Red with no stripes also looks very nice. Dont get me wrong, I like stripes, but they make the Viper look narrower and taller. I know its an optical illusion, but still. If I had the money to buy a Viper, it would take me a while to choose the color combo. /images/graemlins/laughing.gif

For a GTS graphite with silver stripes. Sapphire and black would be my next choice after that.

For an RT solid black, second choice solid graphite. Technically the new yellow is a different color /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

I've seen 1 '02 graphite GTS w/no stripes and it was killer! That color really works on the GTS.

I'm a huge Fan of Yellow..Thats why I had to buy a 2001 or Newer, but If I had to choose another color it would be the Classic "Blue with White stripes" :thumb:

I love my black, but if I had to change the color, it would be Red if factory paint was the only choice. If I had the option of a custom job it would be a VERY deeeep(depth) Sunset Orange Metallic.

That color is so sweet if done right, but most of the time it is done half-assed and looks just average. I have seen a few very impressive works done and got my contacts decided if I get bored of the Black.

Solid Black is the best in my opinion. The car looks like it's about to eat someone alive just slowly cruising around town. So menacing , its truly THE COLOR of the Viper.

I was talking to a friend of mine about the different colors and i made a little comment about Vipers making ordinary colors look awesome. Its just a damn nice looking car and many colors look great on it, but Solid Black is the best imho. But then comes the draw back of having to try and keep it looking clean, and over time that is almost impossible. I went through that with my black C-5, and i was about to get the whole thing repainted just because of all the little flaws here and there that you would never even notice on any other color. Im glad that car is gone, and i learned my lesson, only buy a black car if you got the time to keep it blinged out.

I love my black cars, I have two of black cars but I also am especially appreciative of blue with silver stripes on a GTS, but I would go with a solid black on an RT10. Currently I have black/silver striped on my GTS. Black RULES, but is a pain to keep clean although cleaning the cars is good therapy for me. Any Viper is a good Viper, but Tito you hit it on the head "about Vipers making ordinary colors look awesome". Gary

Wow, several of them look great! Blue/white, black/silver, sapphire/silver, steel grey/silver, solid yellow. Shit, it's hard to go wrong on one of these things!
