Class structure based on ET:

9.49 - faster
9.50 - 9.99
10.00 - 10.49
10.50 - 10.99
11.00 - 11.49
11.50 - 11.99
12.00 - and up
All Motor Class (No Minimum ET, Just no Power Adders)
Stock SRT class
Awards Given to top Three places of all classes

Special awards for the following:

Fastest Boost only Car
Fastest Centrifugal Blower Only Car (heffner, DLM, Ect)
Fastest Roe Blower car
Fastest NOS car
Fastest SRT - 10
Best Reaction Time overall
Best 60 Ft Time Overall

Wow, that's a bunch of classes. Dividing the classes based on et's could make it more like a bracket race with potential for "sandbagging" to win a class.

I would have expected to see a real street tire class - meaning no R compound tires, drag radials, E/T Streets, etc... Unless past events have shown a lack of interest in such a class.

there still might be a street tire shoot-out as was last event is KY, but if so if will have to be on the Friday night test and tune for the track.

there will be no sandbagging if you breakout after the first round you loose! i still have some details to workout for the rules but this is looking to be the best possible way.

this way we are not nitpicking on peoples power adders you run with the peope that run your same ET.

Nine classes? Wow, I'm pretty much guaranteed an award, right? How many cars are expected to show? Even with 50 cars, the odds are pretty good I'll go home with something!

I have always liked superstock classes. With this setup, stock genIs will have to compete against all the stock and mildly mod'd genIIs. Tough break!

what was wrong with your class at beech bend?
Test and tune, time and you work out a blip and run from a 10:50 to a 9.9 and you are sandbagging.
Going to be any stock Viper class or just the SRT????
Have you contacted SVS with their tt glibe car?
I talked to several locals that said that Dec is a bad month and they would have to settle for the DVD, good luck with your race.

Dr. Roof, we will be there with the following cars, running in various classes:

2001 GTS Venom TT / Auto with and without NOS
2003 SRT Venom TT / 6-speed
2003 SRT Venom 650R (522 CID) on street tires or drag radials - John Myrick, owner
1998 GTS Venom 700R (510 CID), Anthony Waller, owner

and we may bring 1-2 mystery cars just to keep the bitches down the street guessing.

Rohn - I think that most of the fast cars in Texas are going to be there. It would be a real bummer if you didnt come and compete - especially with all of the other fast cars coming from out of town. I think Dr. Roof may have as many as 75 Vipers at this event - which could make it the largest Viper drag event ever.

I am wondering if some tuners are bothered by the fact that some Vipers keep getting faster while others stay the same or get slower. Hopefully I am wrong.

You can't run a 10.6 and then a 9.38 after qualifying like at BB, lol.
Where will the TT run, class. The breakdown for special say's boost only, blower only but leaves the nos only cars to deal with your cars I guess, boost w/nos etc. Oh well you can do another red light, won't hurt my feelings or will all owners be driving? Your fans have said letting someone else drive your Viper is like letting someone else yaddy-yaddy ya and etc, you have read it before.

If I can arrange it I will be there but like your 1 mile run, family business might have to come first.

If I can make it I plan to bring my Prowler and hope Jdawg bring his /images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif, hell I will run my Prowler against the stock Vipers.

Sure Rohn, if you got family stuff going on that same weekend, that is totally understandable. But I think there will be a lot of fast Vipers showing up, hopefully that will include SVS as well.

There are no set of rules and classes that will satisfy everybody, but I think the way Dr. Roof has it set up now, will appeal to the most people and reduce the amount of whining about classes, NOS stages, etc. like there was at BB.

Like I said, we plan to run at RCR quite a bit this Winter and hopefully we will see you out there.

For now the Viper V10 ET ladder is:

1. HPE Venom TT/NOS (8.93)
2. SVS Stryker TT (9.41)
3. RSI Direct-Port (Gerald) (9.45)
4. RSI Direct-Port (Rohn) (9.46)
5. Albert Chlouber Direct-Port (9.50)

I forsee others stepping up with cars that will enter the mid to low 9's while guys on this list will continue to go quicker. Any way you cut it, good competition and rivalry helps everyone get faster in my opinion.
