Best racing game ever

Have you ever played any of the Gran Turismo games????? When GT4 comes out it will make PGR2 look like crap, oh wait GT4 prologue already did LOL. sweet link...I have not played viper racing in a while as it would never work on my XP computer...I found a thread where it tells you how to update the program! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

oh man...I found lots of mods too. YEA!!!

So cool...I downloaded all new tracks and cars for Viper Racing. Its like a whole new game. This would be so cool to have a league where we would play online....with cash prises even.

That is why this game continues to live on because people can mod the crap out of it like they do with EA's F1 games. I wonder if someone would be willing to host a dedicated server for this game if they did we could setup our own league and we could then play for money. That would be cool to do that here...you may want to suggest it to MP (packetjunkie) and see if he would put it on his server.

I do not think he would set up a dedicated server if it were only the two of us playing. If anyone does not have the game and they would like to acquire it send me a pm.

Awesome links...I took viper racing off my computer months ago because of all the problems with XP. I loaded the patch and it works great again. I love this game

I also loaded all the cars and tracks as well...but I ran into a problem when I tried to run one of the new tracks. When the race started, all the other cars crashed as I approached them, and let me go by. Anybody know of a fix for this.
Since I won't take my car out of the garage until the snow goes away...this will have to do for now

I have the same problem on a few tracks, and I have no idea how to fix it you can register at those boards and ask and I am sure someone there will have an answer.

You need to make sure you have loaded the proper AI for each track after you download it. I had the same problem but reread the notes and now it works fine on all tracks. Also make sure you put the new track in the old track slot they recommend.

I played last night for a few hours. I downloaded the cars too.

The PT Cruiser is the best.

But yeah, ViperRacing is great fun...

GT4 does look good (see Motor Trend article linked below). It's about time they got away from the annoying video-gamey feel that ruined the previous versions for me -- which is why I like Project Gotham and PG2 so much better. (PG2 goes a long way towards making the vehicles even more realistic "feeling" than they were in the original -- and they were very good in the original).

NFS is a fun game, but as a driving game it sucks. They didn't even attempt to give it a realistic feel.

Either way, GT4 and NFS are still just PS2 games, and it's painfully apparent in the NFS ports to the XBOX. Unfortunately we'll never see what GT4 can really do on decent hardware. (The PS3 is looking pretty good, but I'll never spend a dime on a Sony product.)

I just played Viper racing online...what a blast!!! All new tracks and cars..so cool

Did you use one of those finder programs?? How was it, any lag and the most important question how did you do??

used a finder program that I found on http://www.vrgta.com

very little to no lag and it was a blast. I didnt do very well as most of them play almost every night and have their cars set up perfectly.

Still..it was a blast.
