I'm looking into to getting ported/polished heads, valves, springs, roller rockers, lifters, cam, ect...

To get the fastest setup for a Gen I, what kind/size/... of everything would I need? Peak HP's good for bragging rights, but I want total under the curve HP.
Example: My car 404 rwhp 502 torque cannot be pulled by a 454 rwhp Viper.

Also, is there anything different to taking off all the old parts and putting on the new ones compared to an old V8. (The heads I will trade in for ported/polished ones so that my mechanic just takes the old ones off and put the new ones on.)
