So about 2 months ago I called BC Racing North America based out of Orlando, FL and asked them if they make their Coilovers for a Gen 5 Viper. They told me that they have them for all the other Generation Vipers but have never tested them out on a Gen 5 viper, so they were not sure if they would fit. Prior to this I did a lot of research on the BC Coilovers and read some very good reviews on them from other Generation viper owners as well as other types of car owners. All of them had very good things to say which sparked my curiousity to call BC Racing. Being a little dissappointed that they were not sure if they would fit my 2014 SRT, I asked them if they would like to test them out for fitment on my car. They of course were delighted to accept my offer. Yesterday I drove 175 miles north to Orlando, FL and met up with a couple of the guys at BC Racing North America. First of all let me tell you that I was very impressed with their shop, very nice and clean and professional. To make a long story short (I know, too late right) the coilovers fit like a glove!! The basic geometry has not changed from previous generations as they showed me ( I was right there in the shop with them as my car was on the lift). We were all very excited, me especially. They took off my OEM non adjustable coilovers off and replaced them with brand new BC Racing fully adjustable coilovers. Took it out for a test drive and the car handled great!! better than stock, cornered excellent, no body roll, put the power down to the ground very well. The coilover system has dampening adjustments as well for either a softer or tighter feel, click of a knob (30 clicks total). Drove the car 175 miles back home with no problems whatsoever, felt great. Made a few harsh lane changes on the FL TPKE at 80MPH with no bodyroll and fear of loss of control whatsoever.
I wanted to let all of you know that if you are in the market for adjustable coilovers but dont want to break the bank BC Racing coilovers are the answer. We now know they will work well and fit right on our Gen 5's. Best part is these coilovers cost about $1300 for all 4!! Talk about affordable. I cannot say thank you enough to Sam and the guys at BC Racing North America for accepting to test out on my car and for being more than professional, truly stand up guys.
