How soon can you be here?

Taig Stewart

(Originally posted by John Hennessey) http://www.viperalley.com/showflat.php?C...part=1&vc=1

"The real story is that when Taig Stewart's twin turbo Viper left Houston it was running flawlessly. I took SmokinV10 for a 100 mile test ride, ask him how well it ran, with the AC on when it was 95 deg outside. Anthony got a breif ride in the car too.

"I put several hundred miles on this car personally to make sure that it was running like it should. It was also independently dyno'd at 725 rw hp and 800 rw tq on low boost as the motor was not fully broken in.
"
"I have offered to go to Utah to do a final dyno tune on the car and Taig has not taken me up on the offer.

"We set the air/fuel ratio a bit on the fat side at 10.5:1 and this is at sea level. I will assume that with the car going to 6000 ft. of elevation, it is running quite a bit richer up there and thus may indeed not idle as well as it should. This is an easy fix in the tuning.

Taig's car was sent out clean and detailed. I did not get to chose the transport company. So when it got picked up, it was first picked-up via a flatbed wrecker and taken to a terminal to get loaded in a trailer. When the wrecker came to get it, it was raining. This would explain why the engine compartment would be dirty.

"I am willing to go to Utah this week and do a final tune on the car.

"Seems like whenever there is a small amount of good PR on anything I do, then its time to start threads like this.

"Thats all I have to say about this."

Last I spoke with John he said he was going to Austin for the Viper Alley get together. I think he's taking one of his cars there. Not sure if he's left yet or not.

Looks to me like he has taken you up on that offer!

Looking forward to the result, not the talk.

I will be there on Wednesday of this coming week. I will be bringing one of my techs and your stock front bumper. I will contact the Viper tech at the local dealership and make arrangements to have your VenomAero front bumper taken to a paint shop and re-painted. Once we get there, we will tune the fuel system for your home alititude adn put your stock front bumper on the car while the VenomAero bumper is painted.

Taig, I am extremely grateful to have this opportuntiy. I look forward to meeting you in person and us going for a test drive in your twin.

See you Wed. in Utah.

This is awesome! Taig, I hope you will let us know how it works out. I believe NoMercy is also going to be meeting John shortly to take a spin in the TT car and to settle their outstanding business once and for all. I hope No Mercy will let us know how it goes and how the car is! I really thin your car will be awesome Taig when you get it tuned, and I'm glad you're giving the chance to John to go that last mile to work it out.

I got to say that i have very few person experiences with people who have for a period of time done bad things, and later tried to make a wrong into a right. I am very interested in hearing/seeing the outcome of this turnaround, it sounds pretty good so far.

Is the same thing going on with the vette owners? I heard some of them where pretty pissed as well.

John, I'm pulling for you and sincerely hope this is all behind you. As JRod & I posted on the ZO6Vette forum, you are to my knowledge running your business appropriately and your continued effort to persevere warrants your future success. I don't mind sticking up for you. God Luck.

Hell, I'll even let you experiment on the Z if you want. ;) Let's give Lingenfelter a kick in the nut-sack. A ZO6 TT by Hennessey, then I could finally rule the world and Anthony.

Thanks guys, just a quick update on a few things, I wont be able to go to Utah this week due to a child dr. appt. However, I will have one of my techs there tomorrow taking care of Taigs Viper. So things are moving forward with that. I'm square with No Mercy other than owing him a fast test drive in a twin turbo SRT which is coming his way soon I hope. Thanks again for everything guys.

That's great news John. All the best with you getting everyone squared away.

I can only imagine this whole mess has been stressful for you and your family just as it has for everyone else involved. Without laying blame or taking sides, I think most would share my sentiment that the best ending to it all is everyone being taken care of and you continuing to put out some kick ass Vipers.
One noticable thing that the car rags say is that you always show up with a Viper that puts down the numbers with no drama and it leaves the contests or tests in the same running condition as when it arrived.
That is commendable and noteworthy.

Now I look forward to seeing No Mercy's signature changed to Twin Turbo SRT-10 in the future. /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif ;)

Today is Wednesday and I wanted to give everyone an update on Taigs car. Nick, Johns mechanic is here and working on the car. I think they are making progress and will hopefully have it fixed soon. I am planning on going there and giving everyone an outsiders point of view.

I hope all this works out for Taig. He is a very patient man who has waited a very long time for some incredible HP. I think he will get what he wants soon.

BTW, I am glad John is stepping up and taking care of this issue in a professional way. He is late but Taig does have a twin turbo car.

That could be true for a month but I have another 100RWHP that will be added in a month or so! Stay tuned. Turbos are better for altitude than anything else. This will definitely give him an advantage. If John or Taig comes we will definitely run them, or at least I am willing.
