Log onto "salvagedirect.com" They have a 2002 GTS with less than 2000 miles going thru now. You have to be a registated dealer to buy this. I am, and can buy for you but I will need a deposit before I consider bidding. Contact me offline.

I always wondered about this. How does one become a buyer for totaled Vipers? You know, buy from Insurance companies. When a Viper is totaled in say, Michigan and State Farm totals it, where does it go?

Bonkers knew a site where my old Viper was sold through. They were in FL (gee big surprise). There is a network for damaged/salvage cars that the rebuilders tap into.

One thing to bear in mind is that they are going to want to make a KILLING on a Viper engine - they probably want 20% off retail (ripoff!). You would maybe be better served buying one on eBay or in the Viper classifieds.

Bonkers, what a guy....

Back to reality, lots of salvage cars do goto Florida, the laws are real crappy on branding the titles. The network is probably CoPart (large salvage auction that accounts for 50% of all salvage cars in the USA) They have auctions all over the country and all insurance companys use them. The insurance companys use some smaller auction places as well, like the one I listed above. Vipers demand a premium as the parts are worth so much.
