No, this is a new post.It has been in the planning stages for a long time, as it is a tour and logistics for the trip over, car insurance in storage, hotels, itinerary, etc. are very lengthy. I think they opened it up, as it is pricey, but it is a very unique trip, and should open alot of eyes to American Iron , as it rattles the windows through Europe. Most of the cars will hopefully be Vipers, but it appears they have opened it to some others after all the labor involved.

Viper Days will arrange for your car to be shipped to Europe from Baltimore, and then transported to the starting point of the tour - where you and your wife or friend will fly in to meet up with your car for the beginning of this epic 12 day trip, starting in August 2003 from Cologne, Germany.

Everything has been planned down to the finest detail - accompanying luggage transportation, dedicated travelling security staff, and all the extras you would wish for, making your vacation a truly enjoyable & memorable experience.

Interesting price difference as well..
differences are that the trip is 15 days instad of 12, price went from 20k to 24,600 plus VAT (however much that is), and Monaco was added? I guess there weren't enough interested viper owners last year to make it fly?

I'm not interested in taking my Viper to Europe just to drive the roads. If I were to spend the $$$ to ship my Viper then I want to spend as much time as possible on some of those European circuits. I have little interest in the shopping, sites, nightlife, etc. In fact, with the way France and Germany have acted as of late I couldn't care less if I ever visited them.

How do you figure $24,600??? Isn't it $10k per car (and you can have 2 people in a car). That's how I read it - or are they saying $10k per person and they presume 2 people will share one car?

If it's the latter, that is a RIPOFF IMO.

How do you figure $24,600??? Isn't it $10k per car (and you can have 2 people in a car). That's how I read it - or are they saying $10k per person and they presume 2 people will share one car?

£1,000 transportation within europe
£14,699 Converted to US dollars = $24643 Plus cost of VAT and meals

i got this email as well. lotta coin for a trip to europe. i prefer to just take a flight to amsterdam, hang out and "enjoy" the finer things in the dam, tram down to munich booze and whoop it up for a while and then head on back to the redlight for a few more days and then finally fly my tired ass home to recoup. Now thats a european trip. oh, and if the desire is to also include a autobahn experience; just get e vehicle for a day or two and go for it.

Well maybe not because I'm pretty sure they'll have a VCA Poser windbreaker for each leg of the trip and that's certainly worth a lot of jack!

You might even get to pose for a picture with the VCA Prez. Maybe, just maybe he'll autograph it for you as he whitewashes any negative facet of the trip with loads of positive verbage and that goofy Al Jolsonesque smile of his.

Ya gotta admit Mike, that'd be worth a pile of money.

The ViperDays trip has absolutely nothing to do with the VCA. Please don't insinuate your negative VCA connotations towards Skip, his family and ViperDays in general. issed: From what Skip told me there are already folks signed up. It was cancelled last year due to the potential issues with Americans traveling abroad.

Some of the ViperDays and VRL guys are taking their wives to Europe as a big THANK YOU for all the help and support they give them during the race season. Yes, it's expensive, but it'll be first class.
