Can you swap an earlier 97-99 (forged piston, 708 cam, ect.) engine into a 00-02 gts to replace the "cream puff" engine like it's plug and play or? specifically:

-can the cream puff computer run the older engine as normal?
-any physical difference when plumbing/mounting/requiring?
-headers fit the same?

It should work OK, but you are bound to find some issues here and there.

Like Dean said, there will probably be some minor issues. But I wouldn't even bother. I'd just put the money into the creampuff to un-creampuff it.
