Don't keep up with the S2000 that much, but I went to the dealer with my future sister in law to buy one and the salesman said it was being replaced by the S2200. Like I said I am sure this is old news, but he really could not tell me much about the replacement. He said the motor would have the same output and there were only minor cosmetic changes. Is any of this true? :screwy:

Secret testing is underway on a more powerful edition of Honda's S2000. Tentatively named the S2200 and set to be unveiled at January's Detroit Motor Show, the newcomer has a 2.2-litre i-VTEC engine producing 250bhp.

Still ugly.

I remember the guy saying something about a removeable hardtop, but in these pics it looks like a fixed roof.

the car is pretty much remaining unchanged except for a bump in displacement to 2.2L from 2.0L All that to go from 150 ft/lbs to 162 ft/lbs. Whoop de doo. The car needs a turbo badly.

You are right about the coupe...Its sweet....But if you ever seen the convertable 350Z it aint pretty....Especially with the top up /images/graemlins/puke.gif /images/graemlins/greddy.gif

Ive read in one of the car mags that Honda is supposed to be contemplating the hardtop version of the S2k...The red pic above was in the article....But I aint holdin my breath cause yu heard that from Mazda too about the hardtop Miata...Not that I want either of em but I think it looks better in the hardtop and Im sure the little engine that could in it would appreciate the better aerodynamics and weight savings...

convertible Z? That damn thing could look worse it if had a chinstrap attached to the underside of the chasis to the ragtop. PUKE.
