>>> Any local San Diego MOBILE Viper mechanics and Stereo Installers? <<<

Guys,

Typically I take my Viper to West Coast Viper in Temecula when I need some work (about 1.5 hour round trip for me.) This is OK when I need some big stuff done. Problem is that West Coast Viper's business is booming (just look at all the Vipers in their lot) and driving all the way out for something small and then having to leave my car overnight or for several days, arrange for a ride to get back home, arrange for a ride to get back out, etc., can become inconvenient. If I need to change a supercharger belt in the future, I would prefer to pay somebody to change that out for me than for me to dick with it for half the day (to be honest, I just have other things I would rather do.)

Some of you have guys local to you that will come out to your house to change a belt or do this or that -- you know, a few hours worth of work (or so you have told me.) I have 10 thumbs and know near nothing about engines, so I can't do any of this myself.

My questions is do any of you in the San Diego area know of a good mechanic that can do basic work on Vipers and will come out to your place to do it? Seems in this world of real-time things, more and more things are becoming mobile.

In addition to this, I have 2 cars and a SUV that I need to put stereo equipment into as well as a Nav system. Again the issue with having to drop off cars at a stereo shop. And to be quite honest with you, I am a bit nervous about dropping off a 1000 bhp Viper at a stereo shop run by early 20 something guys. I get enough of the "Holy shit, that is a bad ass car!" when I pull up in it, let alone leaving the car there for 3 days while they put in a super sound system.

So anyway, PLEASE let me know if you guys know of a mechanic and stereo installer in this area. I actually live in North County San Diego (San Marcos.)

Thanks,

Manny

Manny ,when I had my Blown Vette I used to have the guys at "IMPORT SPECIALISTS" on San Marcos Blvd do my belt changes and tensioner replacement work.
They always did a great job ! The owners name is Troy , you should pop by and see him sometime.

You might want to try posting this question on the SUPRA forums, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction. I've heard of a shop off Ruffin Rd called "PAN AM" thats pretty popular with the Forced Induction Supra Guys.

If you do come across a Mobile Mechanic Service I'd also be interested.

Good Luck !

I don't know if there's a truly competent stereo guy who would come to the house. I'm sure for enough dough, there's a guy to do it though. A lot of my clients have used LaJolla Audio in the past. They are a very professional, if very expensive outfit, and I'm sure they could take care of whatever you need in that department.
Scott, I think is the owner.
A mobile mechanic? Don't know one offhand. You might be able to get Hot Rods and Custom Stuff in Escondido to do minor mechanicals on your car. They at least have experience with custom, high horsepower, high dollar cars.
A mobile detailer /images/graemlins/pimp
If I could get a free moment I would love to get them taken care of.
Maybe this week.
