I just got a phone call about the RSI Unlimited car. I heard the ports on the heads were too thin and leaked then hydro locked the motor. Anybody have any info? I heard the motor is trashed. Now RSI wants the head porter to pay for a new motor ! What about the other customers cars with the same package? I know they use a CNC program. This sucks.

You would think that anyone with the equipment to do CNC head porting would first conduct a sonic thickness check to verify that there was enough meat around the walls.

I had no idea this thread was even here. I found out it was after speaking to Jason & Gerald just now. Let me just say that there is absolutely no truth at all to this rumor. RSI has NEVER blown a motor. It's really unfortunate. Jason was just saying, "Trey man I just don't know what we can do. We do everything 100% by the book, we're straight up & dwn the line, offer & back up the best product out there with the best warranty, and even still, people won't stop with all the BS & lies."

RSI also said that they're open to the public 24/7. Anyone at anytime is welcome to come by their shop and see for themselves that they're telling the truth. If that's not enough, they said their always ready & willing to race to back up their work.

They welcome anyone to call the shop or simply drop in. But no, I'm told this is 100% not true.

What sucks the most is, I've been trying to get them to support me here at Viper Alley since we started. They want to back me up but they've said all along, that it's the BS like this that keeps them off the internet all together.

Edit: Gerald also said that ANYONE can call their head porter at ANYTIME! He'll tell you himself that there's no truth to any of this. None at all.

King,

ask them to join and we all will stand up for them against alleged stuff like what happened in this thread.
Seems like the thruth came out and RSI is on top. Based on my limited knowledge RSI looks even better in my eyes than they where prior to this thread was started.

Nathan, you may be right. Let's see where this ends. For the last month or so this VJ character has been silent.
I assume the VJ dude will apologize in this thread for spreading an unsubstantiated rumour.

The info I got was a phone call. I questioned it so I thought I would post and ask this question. If I wanted to stir the pot I would have done a little song like the old ViperClub.com site and trashed then laughed. I got another call earlier today and it seems that the owner from RSI called Albert and personally wants him to come check out the car. I don't know if this will happen, but if that is the case than it seems like RSI would be on the up and up in this situation. I was just asking a question about something that I heard. I have been out of the loop this past several months so I am catching up.

Sounds close to an apology for spreading an untrue rumour. Come on now, let's hear you say those two words that you do owe RSI /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now I do have to say that is a lie. The car has the motor out of it and it is sitting next to the car on an engine stand. Gerald even told that to Albert today. I just heard that Carlos was there today and saw the same thing. The only thing he said were the pistons looked new. One thing was pointed out to me..........this is racing. I do know that Albert has changed bearings etc. So I'm sure RSI is doing the same thing. Or maybe they melted a piston with the nitrous. No big deal. They are #1.

Seems to me that if you dont check your facts first that its hard for us to take anything you might "suggest" as being valid.

If you are going to spread rumors, at least do everyone the favor of checking your facts FIRST (and not by posting here).

You're losing credibility and pretty soon nobody will listen.

Mr. Junkie

I was asking a question. Not making any kind of slam etc... I have been told by my higher ups to lay off RSI. I just wanted the facts. I am sorry if I caused any rumors. Congratulations to RSI for being such an honest shop. The only other comment I must make is: The Sheek is a Geek.

Viperjudge,

that's not asking a question. That is camouflaging a statement as a question. You could have asked "allegedly the RSI is working on their engine, does anyone have any details?" or something less accusatory (you do imply that RSI is having quality problems by planting the tought in peoples heads that the engine might be blown).

It's sort of me asking someone, lets say you, this question: "Have you stopped beating your wife?". It's not really a question, it's a statement camoflaged as a question.

I still believe that you owe them an apology.
