Has anyone found a great alternate to replace the stock mich's pilots?
Have they stopped making the michs?

They still make em. It looks like if you're used to the usual $350 per tire price point we've historically paid for the Pilot Sports, you'll want to go with the new Pilot Sport Cups. The Cups are an R compound so they're a hell of a lot stickier but from what I've heard they wear like iron (compared to other R compound tires I'd imagine).

Thats probably what I'll go with, but I know the Sport Cups haven't showed up in any quantity yet. Other choices would be Toyo RA1s, Kumhos, and of course, Hoosiers. I've heard good things about the Toyos too, but I'm not sure they're available yet in the sizes we need.

Snake, why do you say none of them will work?

The Sport Cups are the way to go, like I said. They ARE made in Viper sizes, though possibly not available in great quantity.

Bill Pemberton I know is running the Toyos in his autocross stuff. They might be 17s but the 18s should be showing up shortly.

And there's plenty of info on the Kumhos already either on this board or on morgue.
