I've put the viper away for the winter.
I've read that it is good to fill the tires with max pressure for storage.
Before I put the car away I put on purner 19" on the car the tires are 345 19 35 in the rear and 305 19 35 in the front.( only got to put on 500 miles before storage)
the max is 50 pounds.
is this good?
also for max performance/ride, what is the best pressure while driving?

Never heard of the high pressure tire storage. Best thing is to get the tires off the ground if you can't roll the car at least once a month. They'll flat spot after bearing weight in one position after a while.

I was under the impression to drop the pressure to 20 PSI, and to keep the tires off the ground, but protected from sunlight

A squirt of a rubber protectant can't hurt, but not on the treads.

Bias ply tires are more suseptable to flat spotting, however, radials WILL over a long period of time. Take the wheels off the ground, or off the car for winter storage.

If I remember correctly most are running 28 PSI on the street. Hope this helps.

If it is wrong someone will pipe in and tell me I am full of shit. This I am sure of. /images/graemlins/laughing.gif

sounds cool guys will try it as soon as the snow goes away.
man. chuck, I wish we had a track up here.
only lonely highways for us!!
But no foul police either, we get away with all kinds of shit.
Like I run bead locks on the street that stick out 4 inches on my winter rig.
If you air down, you can blast though waist deep snow!!
in terms of Vipers no muffler, no cats....
