VIPER RACING SHOCKS AND SPRINGS
5007303 one frt. Shock/spring assy. 1,895.00
5007304 one rear shock/spring assy. 1,895.00
(mounting hdwr including) (list prices)

Is this what you are asking about??? I have bought some Mopar stuff through a guy up north and if you are looking for something that has a Mopar parts #, he would be good to get in touch with, if you are comparing prices.

Just out of curiosity, why would u want to make the switch?? I have been told the ACR shocks are too stiff for the street. Do you plan on tracking the car?

I just absolutely HATE my eibachs. I know many people like them, but Ive played with adjusting the damping of the stock shocks by compressing and turning, but it yielded a minimal improvement. My alignment is good, but the car feels "bouncy" and "darty". I dont mind a firm ride, but I dont like bouncing around like the car is underdampened, and thats exactly the way the car feels. I believe RedsnakeGTS has similar sentiments about his Eibach setup. I found a set of ACR fronts I can get for a reasonable price, and want to know how much it would cost me to buy the rears. From the looks of the prices, I might as well just get Penske or Motons and call it good.

i HATE my eibachs... i think Smoke and i are the only ones, but i dont like hitting a dip or "wave" in the road and feeling the effects for another 50 feet. these bastards are bouncy. the conclusion Smoke and i came to was, we dont mind a firm or stiff ride, we just want something other than the eibachs. dont post this on the morgue, they will make fun of me for not liking the eibachs :leaving:

As a part-time windbreaker, I feel obligated to poke fun at you and Smoke...Do you ladies dislike having your car handle like it's on rails??? Just yesterday, myself and a Red GTS were tipping 150 mph on our private track (backroad twisties) over in the cheesehead state...every now and then we'd pull over and wait for the group of posers we had in tow, to catch up...My Eibachs rock...

Actually, the ACR suspension is a relatively easy mod, but for the money that Mopar wants, you could damn near get Moton or Penske...But if you can find a deal, I'd say hit it...the ACR suspension rocks!!! And you can set them to be soft like grandma's caddy, but still have the cool ride height, for girls like you and Smoke!!! /images/graemlins/laughing.gif

Don't you guys have the stock setups? Why not just go back to stock?
The stock setup looks AWFUL! From a cosmetic standpoint I couldnt bear looking at a car with 19" wheels. The gap between the tire and the fender becomes 10x more noticeable. Fuckin ugly, Id rather ride on the bouncy eibachs :ugh:

2000 model ACRs were equipped with both Koni and Dynamic shocks. Konis were known as rattlers, but I think a lot of that is from large tolerances in the mounting bolt and frame attachment ear diameters. Just final torque them with loaded suspension and you will be fine with the Konis. Either way, that's a hell of a price on the set. However, you still won't have shit compared to the big dog Penskes...

I have a koni 2812 acr setup with all related hardware including brand new mounting kit, manual, doglegs, and ride height tools on classifieds if anyone is interested. There is a very simple fix to stop the rattle of the rattlers.

I have a 99 ACR, with the Koni 2812 "rattlers". They only rattle if you go over a real bumpy section of road. Not a single bump - but a series of bumps. Even still, it just sounds like something in your hatch knocking. I don't even notice it much. I also like the konis very much. I have the car lowered 3/4" which is as low as I can go and still make it over speedbumps - I still hit the oilpan on the ocassional big one. To give you an idea, I changed from 0/0 to about 2/3 (out of 8/8) and the car is as stiff as I'd probably want it.

The ACRs with konis had a completely different spring setup than those with the Dynamics. The Dynamics, although having like 16 settings, apparently did not have enough compression, so the spring rates are much higher on those cars to compensate.

At any rate, you shouldn't do anything until you talk over your options with Erik Messley at EMI (714-899-3669). He's a great guy and knows more about Viper susp setup than anyone.
