I'd like some opinions on shock settings for launching my 2000 ACR. Should I soften compression to help weight transfer and max out rebound in the rear? Do I need to do anything to the fronts? Wheelhop is a problem that I'm trying to minimize.

I'm hoping to get to the Gateway test n tune (Oct 10) for SEVERAL runs, so I'll have the chance to change the settings as I go. /images/graemlins/headbang.gif

You're on the right track. Don't run too much rebound, or they'll pack down in the rear. You do want them to extend between shifts so they will plant on the next shift. Use 0 rebound up front. More rear toe for wheelhop.

Dean,
I didn't know you were a drag racer! You need to make sure you make our V-10 nationals DEC 7 at RCR! Details will come out soon so watch your email.

Also, make sure those front tires have good air! I go 42psi up front and 20-25 in the rear. Drive around the bleach box and burn em so they just barely start smoking (4-5 seconds). Anything more is $ down the drain. I have different opinions of shift points than many people here so I'll let YOU investigate that one.

You'll also get better weight transfer if you disconnect your front sway bar, at the expense of a little nervousness at the far end.

LOL
