I was checking the oil in the rear end of my viper tonight and i noticed that the drain plug wasn`t screwed in all the way it like about 3 threads making it all the way in. I was wondering if they are made like this or if they are suppose to go all the way in? I thought someone might have cross threaded it before. It didn`t seem like it though because it screwwed in and out real easy thats just where it tighteded up to.

Also in the manual it says the oil level should be level with the fill hole but when i took the plug out oil ran out. Should i just drain it down so its level with the hole or did someone do that for a reasn?

I know these questions are stupid but i keep a case of severe parinoya about the viper lol

I would change out the diff fluid and replace ... and as stated... dont forget the additive.

Make sure you fill it according to the specification.

Do you have the added drain plug in the bottom? If not removing the old fluid will require a vacuum pump.
