I have found a 1992 Viper that is for sale with 52 miles on the clock. The car has been stored in a climate controlled environment and is in perfect condition.

Whats this thing worth? I read they were very rare and are bringing big money, any truth to that?

They are very rare and sold for many thousands above the sticker price back in '92. Even with the care it has undergone, the fact that it has so few miles on it may mean big bucks if you plan to drive it instead of display it as a work of art.

I agree with Kenny...cars were meant to be driven and you might find you have more problems with the car vs. one that has maybe 20K miles on it.

If you want it as a collectors item..then it sounds like you have found a nice example.

good luck!

The guy got back to me and he is asking in the upper 50's at first he sounded as if he wanted to sell it reasonably. There's no way I'd buy that car to keep as it's merely artwork at this point.

Important questions to ask are if the engine was run, heater turned on, wheels and driveline were rotated, etc. A controlled environment is great, but the various mechanical bits and systems need to be pressurized, circulated and spun to ensure proper continued function.

I've seen very low mile '92s in the 40's. They just weren't as good a vehicle as even the '93s were.
