I think it looks pretty cool myself, especially since it will include the Hemi motor and be rear-wheel drive...

Even though it appears to be the same basic size, it doesn't look anything like the generic Lexus/Infiniti/Mercedes stuff. Mind you, I don't think it is targeted at that full-size luxury market (dunno for sure), but it really seems to have a lot more of a "muscle" look to it. Hey, as long as they stuck the Viper motor in a truck...

about F'n time they built something that just LOOKS QUALITY! My only gripe is that the rear deck should be longer so it would have a bigger trunk. It's a great oppotunity to steal some sales from the lincolns especially if it had a bigger trunk. A V-10 powered version would be awesome.

it looks just like a Bentley to me. saw it at the Texas State Fair auto show, and it looked like a direct knock-off.

bastards....

i got all excited and did some research and found out that this car is only a concept.. i was 2 steps away from grabbing my keys and cruising down to the chrysler dealer to check it out..

there will be a production version arriving in 2004, but we all know that production versions are usually neutered versions of the concept..

What We Know: Chrysler is scheduled to release this replacement for the 300M early next spring. This will be the first car designed and engineered after the historic merger of Chrysler and DaimlerBenz. While the effects of that business deal have been mixed, the resulting changes to Chrysler's cars should prove quite beneficial. For one, the new sedan will switch to rear-wheel drive, a setup long favored by the Europeans for its performance and handling benefits. It will also benefit from a suspension design derived from the Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan as well as Mercedes' Electronic Stability Program. Four trim levels will be offered: a base model, a 300 Touring, 300 Limited and the top-of-the-line 300C Hemi. The 300C Hemi is obviously powered by Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8, while the two midgrade models get the 3.5-liter V6 used in the current 300M sedan; base models will use a modified version of the 2.7-liter V6 found in the Sebring coupe. The interior looks nearly identical to the show car with its distinctive tortoise shell accents and two-tone trim. The new 300 will also offer an upgraded sound system courtesy of Boston Acoustics, the first time that the high-end audio manufacturer has ever provided a factory system. Look for the entire 300 lineup to hit showrooms in late March or early April.

From what I hear, it will look pretty damn close to the concept model. Dodge is pretty good about keeping the production model close to what the concept looks like.

oh oh oh!! you hit a nerve! Three years ago i had an issue of road and track with a picture of the latest and greatest 2003 viper on the cover.. it was a picture and performance test of what is now called the competition coupe, and we got screwed and got the SRT... bait and switch!!

but you're right, the production model wont be much different.. i found a picture and an article.. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

bently knock off. I wonder what quality will be like on it. Probably piss poor. But on another note; notice how box like the front end is, could this be due to the new laws supposedly coming into affect???

things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.

some shiet about cars being too low, and too many fatalities when people get into wrecks, with the likes of SUV's and full size trucks.

This is just shit i read a while back, i do not know if there is any truth to it. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I like it... but I'd say it's a definite Bentley knock off.
Heck, even Chrysler's logo looks a lot like Bentley's now. /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

Might be good for all these long trips I seem to take these days.
