Big thanks to Ron (BlackGTS)
I didn't know what section to post this in. Ron isn't a registered vendor, I get that. This does deserve honorable mention.
Ron (BlackGTS) doesn't advertise it but he's a licensed car dealer on the side, sorry Ron if you didn't want everyone to know. I bought his black GTS last year while I was still in Afghanistan as a contractor. The car was for sale locally near Tampa so it was an easy sell for me. Ron was very honest in the description and even tried talking me out of buying it sight unseen. Day 2 back home, Ron personally delivered the Viper to my house ready to go, tax, tagged and titled. That by far was the smoothest car purchase of my life.
A couple months ago I was home for R&R and picked up a well kept Silver 2005 Porsche C2 from a dealership in NC. The dealership assured me they would have the title to me in time to transfer before I had to leave for Afghanistan. Long story short, the dealership got their money, dragged their feet on the title and I left with unfinished business. The rough part, the bank wanted the title showing the LIEN. I had a short window to provide it before the loan would be converted to a conventional causing the interest rate to almost tripple. If this happened I was frugged. I know, my poor planning is not anyone else's emergency.
Remembering my experience with Ron I reached out for help. He came to the recue and took time off from his busy schedule. Often it has been fellow Veterans I've leaned on for help while deployed. It is rare that someone outside this circle understands the distraction these situations cause. In the Alley we punish in public and we praise in public. Ron went above and beyond to help. I owe him a great debt of gratitude for everything he has done. It wasn't even his sale and he set me up with proper documents, tax tags and title to get me straightened out.
Ron, I can't thank you enough for helping me with this situation. Thank you.
