37 pages on Corvette Forum on the same topic. And the Viper is far more a handling car than a 1/4 mile car.

IRS, stiff shocks and a stick are a bad idea for the 1/4.

I want something different so I'm out looking at cars. I look at anything else, and I keep getting dragged back to the Viper as the best car and value for what I like.

Agree I bet this race is much closer in actuality. Equal hits and equal traction I expect the Hellcat to win by 1/2 a car or dead even.

Ya, I expected to see the Vette start to gain once it hooked up, but it never happened. Oh well, its a kill for the Hellcat regardless. I wonder if they will be as quick to show the run on the track where the Z beat him.

I agree but if they are evenly matched once he lost that momentum he was done.

PD Blower cars hit hard and based on the Z06 dyno's these guys are going to have to learn how to use that power without going up in smoke. It would have been about 40 degrees when they were making those runs. Hellcat should have the same problem but I think the weight of the hellcat helps it to hook a little better.

I don't doubt they will, lol. I would expect it to beat the hellcat on the track considering that car comes with some piss ant all weather 275's out back. Those cars need a drag radial.

The road course talk gives me a nice chuckle lol, they've been saying in multiple threads it will annihilate the Viper on track hahaha. Only in their feeble minds do they still think the Viper only goes straight as the Vette was designed for track use, they must be forgetting which car has dominated and held records at almost every track and even on regular gathering track days guess what car is out front majority of the time, Viper lol. I bet $ that even a Z07 package car will be close with edge going to the Viper for about 2-3 laps before it enters limp dick mode and has to pull off track while the Viper and others keep running all day long.

There were some C7Z owners running at Homestead the other week and two friends were there too, said the cars were being driven pretty soft and not hard. Sure enough that popped up on the Z forum with all them praising the gods how the Z was a track car and didn't enter limp dick mode in South FL heat, only to have an owner there post they weren't pushing the cars, shattering the fanboys cheering
