The Calvo,

Spill the beans on your setup! Who's doing it? Which EMS you using? What size hairdryers?

Might I give you advice, convert it to E85 when you go boosted.

The Gen V platform is VERY difficult to turbo charge reliably. Lots and lots of gotchas. I'll help you if I can!

I am doing it my self. We are going to try Hp tuners, if that doesn't work, my roommate is an orical database engineer at dell and we just bought a motec m150 with the programmers package. It's basically a blank ecu you can write the can code to control all the things the ecu did. It would just replace the factory ecu. Its getting twin gtx 3794 with tial turbine housings. Just want 1000hp, I have my 1400rwhp supra to be a problem car lol. I might be a newb to the site but not to vipers

So I have a 800rwhp 997 turbo, a 1400rwhp supra and my gen v viper. I almost didn't want to turbo the viper because it was so much fun the way it was. Dodge nailed it with this car. It handles very nimble and agile for how wide and long it is. No squeaks or rattles. Its a car I feel like you could take on a cross country trip and get out without your back hurting. I really am impressed with it. Also you guys are used to it, but all that down low tq is nice compared to all my 6 cylinder cars hehe.

The Calvo,

You can do it with HPT but you are going to need a lot other things to make it work. The OEM ECU can't do it alone.

Might I suggest you just go ahead and go Infinity? You'll cut a month or two off of your project if you do that. Also, those turbos are mighty small to run on such a big CI engine. I hope you get the 1.16 A/R housing!!! (just trying to save you a few of the lessons I had to learn the hard way when I did it)

He owns his own shop, outside of Austin TX. The purpose here, is to make a 1000 rwhp simple kit, that can be mass-produced, and use the factory computer. That would appeal to the masses. Personally, I would have zero interest in a kit that required the AEM/Motec/Pectel/etc.., at that 1000 rwhp power level. HPT will be more work, but worth it IMHO.

Tony, makes sense. I had no idea he was looking to mass produce.

I'm a die hard motec guy.... stubborn I guess :/ I just want 850hp on pump 1000 on kill stock motor. The 3794 is a 67mm so it should be good with the size of the motor. I wanted to stay away from PTE since the turbos sit low and I don't want to use a scavenge pump. Ive done it before on other snakes works just fine. Like I said before I'm a newb on here but not to the platform.

Antonio has worked on my Gen 2 in the past and knows his stuff about this platform.. Granted his knowledge on tuning is going to help the gen 5 be very reliable and stock like... If any one can get it done it's going to be him!!!

And by the way calvo I really like the Orange TA....

BTW it's nice to see the Viper aftermarket start to pop off again.

Antonio it would be nice to see your build threads on driveviper.com as well in the Gen V section. If it's something you are going to try and move to a larger audience you'll find a few more people there also that might be interested.
