Gen 4 frame replacement vid

Came across this tonight and thought it was worth a post. Complete break down of a damaged car, rebuilt on a new frame with other parts replaced.

If not for the fact that the car was an ACR convertible, that is a staggering amount of work to go through just to preserve a VIN. I wonder what the story is regarding the pin-stamped VIN on the frame?

My wild-assed guess as to the cost is $40,000. Any other takers?

Another idea is to add a layer of heat shielding then a layer of the sound deadening material on top of it so you're protect from both heat and noise.

Why would you go through all that? That car didn't warrant a complete frame. I think it was done as advertising gimmick.
