Find a Viper for sale around town...Though?

Hi Guys,

M first Thread

i found for sale 2005 SRT-10 Convertible with 9000 miles and selling fro 46k, i would like to hear your thought about this car.

I have few pictures.

What i found:
1) car run a little rough. No issues to drive but at stop sign example, rpm goes up and down... first time driving Viper, i don't believe it is normal behavior. It could be old gas or need tunes?

2) Passenger windows make noise going up and down

2) Crack on tail light (see pic)

3) Pretty good scratch on rear left (see pic)

4) Rear tires are on the way out

5) driving straight, steering wheels is off and hard pull on the left

6) bottom (more like under) of front bumper is all scratched.

Carfax is clean, no accident (well no reported lol) and 2 previous owner.

Thoughts on the car situation? for 9k, i was hoping better condition! Am I asking too much?

Dealer say, it will do is best to fix things if I am interested to buy the car but he also say, they know nothing about the Viper lmao

Thanks

Rough idle/jumpy idle is tough... So many things can chop it up..

Without any more information on the car and me feeling hung over - combined with limited experience in G3, my G2 experience says:

So long as plugs are good, and your coils are good, and it wasn't overheating, and doesn't have aftermarket cam, and of course nothing wrong with the cam sensor; I'd stake a guess on the idle control valve sensor (IAC) itself, or the quality of the little gasket it has.

Others will chime in soon.
Good luck.

46k!! No way!!! Good Gen3s with none of the issues can be found for mid 30. This low mile stuff only works for Ferrari’s.

Lots of issues with this car. Are you buying in the states or in France? With that price, it should have new tires and no issues.

sale guys contacted me and ask if i was still interested. He say that it will have new plug, wired plug and 2 new tires. He will drive the car for 100 miles and put fresh gas. He say, got ready next week for test drive lmao. He also say "we have hard time to finding wire harness"

I told him, good luck on switching harness on Gen3.

05 Mamba - Portland, ME

I bought this car:

I noticed the intermittent revs during Test Drive
All Plugs and Wires replaced as well as all gaskets
Rears were replaced
Cracked Tail Lense replacement ordered $210 off Ebay
Few scratches, some deeper than others, going to a solid detailing, paint restore shop
Couple of punctures in the drivers seat, upholsters fixing that
8900 original miles, snagged the deal which was right after some stiff conversations but it was good
Drove home to N New Hampshire and she was fine, no problems
