Check Engine light flashes 11 times...Means?

I've searched, Goggled, etc and can't find anything telling me what 11 flashes is indicating. Lots of other info but nothing on 11. Anyone out there able to decipher? My SCT x3 comes up with no codes which is baffling.

Just use an OBD II code reader to see if anything is locked into the PCM. The Gen I cars, you would watch the check engine flash and count for whatever code might be present, but I don't think the newer cars would or will do that.

My SCT x3 reads codes (only basic ones I'm sure). It didn't find any codes. I'm assuming you are suggesting using a reader solely dedicated to reading / clearing fault codes...?

I see many using "code readers". Invest in a scan tool that shows real time data, and remove a lot of the guesswork.

So, so far I've got that I need to invest in a decent scan tool...agreed. But does anyone out there know what the 11 flashes means? Curiously it hasn't repeated, but I'd still like to know...
