Gen 3 All-motor build!

Putting together a heads/cam build for my 2006 coupe. Figure I'd document it here and maybe get some advice/input on what I put together. Regardless, this car has been down since June of last year...argh. It was Paxton supercharged (how I bought it)...one day after some spirited highway driving, I heard quite the ruckus from under the hood. Turns out I lost part of one of my pistons. Fast forward nearly a year of me pinching my pennies and here I am. I did tons of research, price comparisons (because I had to be very conscious of budget), and landed with some great vendors after putting it all together.

Thankfully, my block and heads were salvageable. The engine was torn down and washed, cylinders honed. The heads were washed, decked and milled.

Block:
-10.5:1 spec forged pistons (Racetec)
-Clevite main + rod bearings
-Fresh ARP rod bolts
-Stock rods (oh well...)
-Rotating assembly balanced
-All new OEM gaskets
-ATI Super Damper + ARP balancer bolt
Heads:
-Heads ported + 5-angle valve job (heads flowing ~25cfm over stock)
-JMB custom spec cam (241/246)
-JMB dual valvespring kit with titanium retainers
-JMB hardened pushrods (7.550)
-ARP headstuds
-Mopar slow bleed lifters
-Manley 2.02 intake / 1.60 exhaust valves
Misc:
-RSI K&N intake kit
-BBK throttle body
-ported intake manifold (just port matched runners...for now.)
-JMB 170* Tstat
-RSI oil cooler lines
-IPSCO billet UD pulley
-IPSCO short throw shifter
-Coated M&M headers (I believe they are 1 5/8")
-Mopar 3" "race" exhaust
-Moroso catch can
-New OEM clutch/master/slave

Prior mods:
-Recent stoptech rotors
-Hawk HPS 2.0 pads
-KW V2 coilovers

Quite excited to get this thing back on the road!!
I'm hoping the car comes in around 625-650whp on a dynojet. Not a huge concern of peak power since this will primarily be a street car. Time will tell. Shooting to have the car done mid-June.

Very nice, I wish mine was built like that. Why aren't you putting the Paxton back on?

Thanks man! It has been a long road to get here. I ripped it off and sold it after my motor took a crap...I figure the less variables involved, the more reliable the car. The Paxton seemed to add a lot of heat too. Aaaand, I also needed the funds since doing a build like this is far from cheap. I've missed the awesome choppy big-cam sound...so here we are.

I'm hoping in the future to be able to sell these heads and go to a Gen IV head setup.

When you do the Gen 4 heads, you also have to get intake, TBs, exhaust. Not worth the effort for 40 HP more. If you are making 600-630 with the gen 3 heads, stick with it. Going to Gen 4 will cost 6-8K and gain maybe 5%.

Roe 710R cam + Paxton is a great combo. I did just over 850rwhp @ 9psi. Built 510 stroker

Well....I suppose I'll stay the way I am. Could probably do a more aggressive port for way less cash and make the same power too. Thanks for the input!

I bet that thing is insane. I think mine made around 670rwhp at 7-8psi on stock motor, so hopefully this setup now still provides the same thrill. In the future I'd like to do a TT Gen 2. That would be somethin.
