Anyway, that is my heads/cam Gen III. It has Greg Good ported heads, comp cams cam, and ARH headers with ACRX exhaust. All else is stock including bottom end, clutch, fuel, etc. For that event, I managed to pull a 165.1 mph in 1/2 mile while hitting the rev limiter in 4th gear about 50-100ft before the timing/speed sensors. Shifting into 5th would slow me down a bit. That UR Lambo got the hit well before the cones and almost pulled the front tires off the ground. It would have looked a bit more competitive if we would have had a better start.

About the spin out....my abs activated after my first run since the stopping distance is stupid short at the venue. After that run, I was getting some bad bias. Front right corner was locking up, and the rear was feeling really light. The combination of drag radials with road racing rubber up front wasn't helping. It finally came around me on that last run

It was a fun event, and currently hold their record for the fastest NA car. Some highly modified Z06s were pushing low 160s at that event.
Is it a solid roller setup? Who spec'd the cam? what fuel is it tuned on?

Really cool man, I enjoyed the video. That has to be one of my favorite Vipers. I love it!

Thats because he knew in order to get the win he'd have to pull out all the stops including getting the jump in his 1200+ HP car. Nice work Andres.

Its still a hydraulic cam. I am using Greg Goods trusty Comp Cams Grind which is 232/236, .601/.606 valve lift at .050 on 1.7 Rollers. The compression is up to 10.5:1 via combined head decking and thinner headgasket. Running pump gas and tuned with a conservative-ish mid-high 12's Air Fuel ratio.

This event was held in Carrabelle Fl a few months ago. I was working that event and was pretty happy when I heard his speed of 165. Before his runs, the highest N/A car we have had at any wannagofast events has been around 160. 345's-bespinning car is truly a work of art and sounds great. He found the right combination of power/tires/driving it takes to get a great speed in a 1/2 mile. I always talk shit about vipers being the best out there and its pretty sweet that a viper is holding a record for us. Now we just need a TT viper to set a forced induction record.

Seems the N/A cars are making a comeback which is nice to see, I almost forgot how awesome it is to hear a heads/cam V10 roar down a track like that with great results. Makes me wonder what Norm's all motor RT could do in one of these events...
