It might make a difference if the car is caged. I'll be getting Sparco Evo 2 or 3. But I'm also hoping to cage my GTS.

Have Sparco Evo carbons in mine, ended up making custom brackets cause there seems to be a lack of supply for the Sparco viper brackets.

Love the feel of the seats(always have) but its not for everyone. Some people get in them and just dont get it.

It depends on what type of racing you do. If you do mild to modified drag racing or road course racing then Racetech are the best seats. If you do serious drag racing where you are concern with taking out every last ounce of weight then go for the Technocraft seats because they only weigh 5-6lbs. The Racetech provide the best protection hands down. If I was not so concerned about weight I would definitely go with the Racetech 9009HR with the extended headrest. They should fit the gen 2- Iím almost 90% certain. Just double check your measurements inside your car. For some reason, the measurements in their catalog are wrong for some of the seats. Make sure that Brian at Racetech actually measures the seat before they are shipped out.

Unless you're doing a dedicated drag car, I would stay away from a seat like that. I assume you're talking a driver that will see less than 5% of its time on actual track, mileage wise. On a 3800lb car, 30lbs isn't going to make a big enough difference to justify a lack of comfort. Especially when that weight is in the middle of the car. I used to poke fun of pro mod guys that ran at my track. They'd spend 1000's of dollars on lightweight stuff, to save just a few pounds, but would be 30lbs overweight themselves lol.

Same seat I was asking about on the morg seat thread. Looks like it might work with factory harnesses but they don't list the dimensions on the web site. A pic kind of addresses that LOL.

A mix of track and drag. Most of the time in the car will be at track days or private strip rental. More safety than weight is my concern.

Like Ifast400 said. The seats are not worth it. I had it in the Ferrari for show purposes.

Just took a couple of pics for some spatial perspective.
Shoulder wing tip is 18Ē
Lower ribcage area is 17Ē
Leg is 18Ē

The seat still has 1 1/2Ē of space away from the door sill.

The seat also comes with padding. I havenít driven the car long distance to tell you if itís comfortable or not. The seats are very nice and made well but in my book are considered junk and have no functional purpose except for weight reduction. My car weighs 3485 before the seats and Iím guessing the stock seats are ~30-35lbs each. Iím probably down to ~3410. I still need to get this pig down to 3300 which is extremely hard without looking like I gutted the car.

Hopes this helps.

Almost 30. I weighed both of my seats and they were both just a few ounces under 30lbs.

Was just asking as it's usually a good starting point for weight loss. How much do you weigh? Lol. Might be the best place to start.
