I get off the gas from full throttle and the AF goes to 9:1 and cr wants to stall. My sensors are about 2 years old. I think only the front O2 sensors are the ones that give the PCM info to change AF, and the post O2 sensors are only for BS codes... I also have a VEC II on the car and will get it tuned, but car is really tunning like crap and I did change the plugs too.
what are your a/f at wide open throttle? and what did the old plugs look like?
Old plugs were a little rich, but not killer. AF at WOT is okay, a bit rich and my tune is really off. I need JD to meet me as soon as he can and tune this puppy in. It was running 710 RWHP with valves out of adjustment, I dialed the valves in to retune it and been waiting. My power is down as I know my tune is off, but this seems more than just a tune issue. I am not sure if I should change my front O2 sensors or look elsewhere.
I never did squat with the IAC, should I clean it? Is that the thing on the pass side intake tube?
TY man, and now my upper radiator hose needs replaced after it hit the SC idler pulley..... AHHHHHH

Yes, clean the IAC. Might want to shoot some Carb cleaner thru the TBs too. Also, when was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Guessing the plugs/wires are newer?

The O2's are not in the loop during wot or deaccel. I think on most cars when you transition from wot to part throttle, the a/f shows rich for a short time, I know my car does. You are right, it is only the front O2's that control the a/f during closed loop

Thanks guys,a nd for the record, I am not talking about decel, I am speaking to compeltely off the ggas after decel where the car is trying to idle. I also have had some high idle hang, so I wil;l try and clean it. That is the thing on the pass side intake tube on my Roe with the two Allen bolts-right? just spray around in there really good and work the poppy stuff out if there is any right?
So replace the front O2's still or wait? Can't do either as yet until I get my upper rad hose....
The problem you describe with idle hang is exactly the problem my sticking IAC was giving me until I cleaned it. Just be sure and use throttle body cleaner not carb cleaner as the latter will destroy the rubber and plastic parts in the IAC.
Oh... And use a small parts brush in there to help the cleaning. Mine took a wee bit of work but cheaper than $125 for a new one.
When you are done cleaning it and it is dry squirt a little WD40 in there and swish around real good and then shake out the excess.
Finally, it will take a while for the car to re-learn the proper IAC setting. Stumbling on accell when cold the first time in the morning will go on for a few drives. No shortcut that I'm aware of other than live with that glitch till it goes away.
Stupid question and instead of being a woos and for the benefit of others reading, is the IAC the one with the wires going into it? I think so, that is what I was referring to, but want to make sure it is not on the TB itself under that black block off plate....
I'm surprised you didn't ask this sooner... bastard.
FU get off of Viper Alley and tune my car beatch! Come on man, it is sitting in my garage-thank God an underprivileged individual such as myself has a back up Viper

Just one or several.....................
Poor thing, just one back up.....................................

Fuel filter once in the past 7 years :-)
Plug wires a year or two ago, and they are Adam's wires and I am very good about inspecting, dielectric grease used all the time and I make sure they crimp the plug well each time.
Plugs 1 week old....
