There is nothing cheap about owing a Viper. For me, its kinda like a hobby. I do not mind putting money into my hobbies as I find them a form of relaxtion.

I figure mine costs about the same as owning my GMC full sized van, insurance a little more, gas a little less, maintence a little more, tires a lot more and depreciation a lot less.

hmmm, looks like i need to do some insurance shopping. 36, no tickets, and i'm paying $130 mo. and it is the 3rd car on the policy. dam, i never really added it up either, i'm paying around $250 month! these a-holes won't group them all even though i live alone and no way i could possibly drive them all myself at the same time.
looks like i know my first phone calls tomorrow!

With the current price of gold, most Vette owners find they can move up to a Viper and the sale of their gold chains will easily cover the first five years of Viper maintenance.

North Carolina here also... I pay $660 a year. I pay a little less because I bumped the deductable up to $1,000. It has already payed off, I hit a deer in July and the total bill was $5600.
