Can you be more descriptive so we can help? When it happens, how loud, when the engine idles or revs, et cetera.

I've got green filters in my car, and when I really listen hard, I can almost hear a whistling sound.

I'm hoping it will be more pronounced when the ROE gets installed!

You should get really specific.

Does it sound like almost a little turbo going off? My GenII when giving it some gas you it almost sounds like a thrust of power and you get the sense there's some turbos there even though there's not.

If it's normal or not I have no idea but it feels fine to me..

You don't have your radio on, do you? Could be a ground problem if you do.

clutch out. nothing changed. Not engine noise on my radio either xD. Doesnt sound like a turbo. I dont know how im suppose to describe a winding noise. the faster i go the quicker the winding noise is. Been hearing it for 11,000 miles since i got it xD.

Problem is, I for one, and apparently others have no idea what a winding noise is. Like winding an old fashioned alarm clock? Like winding a wristwatch?

I'm sure that it is probably a descriptor from your part of the country. Perhaps you mean a high pitched sound like when the fishing line is rapidly pulled out from the spool ? Or do you mean a whistling noise?

My 02 GTS has no strange noises like that. Assuming its a high pitched noise, I'd suggest the serpentine belt, or a tensioner bearing, or, possibly a restriction in the intake path?

Do you mean that the noise is directly related to vehicle speed? In other words, at a steady speed such as 60 mph, does it sound the same in 5th gear as 6th gear? The same sound whether the motor is turning different RPMs; but, the car is moving at the same speed?

Just had another question because I can't figure out what a "winding" noise could be. I just realized that perhaps you meant it is a "whining" noise ? "a sustained noise of relatively high pitch"
