Door wont stay open

The drivers side door wont stay open. The passenger side is fine, but the drivers side won't. When I open it it will end up closing. I heard there is a latch(spring) that hold is open, but i searched on the forum and couldn't find the answer.
What do I need to get to fix it. Thanks in advance.

The hinges on the gen I and II's wear out over time. You will have to live with it or buy new hinges. Thats been my experience and what I have been told by my local tuners. Good luck. Sooner or later they will break all together. When you service your car make sure you lube the hinges. It will make them last longer.

There is a little metal tab that snaps over time and mine went as well. The part needed to fix it is a part of the hinge and not able to be bought separately. They are not real cheap 200+ I believe so you may want to just live with the small annoyance. If not Chuck Tator usually stocks the hinge.

Yup. Same thing happened to mine. Snapped the metal plate after it started to make noise and stick. Passenger side started to make noise too and now I make sure to grease it every now and then. I bought a couple new door hinges, but they're a PITA to put on and then you have the door to align. So the new hinges have been sitting there in a box for the last six months and I just live with the door wanting to close. I'll get to it one day.
