Hey I love my horse dogs.........Both weigh in around 140lbs. Fuel shouldn't be too big of an issue but the dogs do go through 60-70lbs. of food every 2.5-3 weeks

That's the same amount of food my 4 labs go through.
Now if some way we could run our Vipers on dog crap, we're all set.

New member from IL. No Viper yet, but step 1 of convincing the wife to let me get one has been accomplished....

And as a side question - are there any IL members around the Peoria area? I'd assume not since 90% of IL is Chicago, but figured I'd ask as I have seen a few around...

I know of a few good guys in your area, but they don't frequent the alley.
Join up on the Viper Club of America. They have an Illinois forum.
I would urge you to join the Illinois club once you get a viper.
The forums on the VCA are a little dry but the people in our club are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet. We do a ton of events of all kinds.

Roanoke dodge is in your part of the woods and John Gastman, the owner will treat you fair, plus he has one of the best Viper techs working there.

Good luck on finding your car.

New Guy From NY, Untraditional Viper

Good Afternoon all,
I know I will get flamed by some of you but here I am. Recently bought a gen1 swap from paul scharf. This is a complete swap and it is going into a 1951 ford woody kustom. Love the woody, dont like ford motors and didnt want to go with a chevy motor. So here I am. Hope you all cant share some insight with me on motor, tuning, tricks etc..
A bit about the woody. 51 base, custom boxed and tubular chassis, chopped 4 inches, custom wood sides, tubbed for 15x12's. Dutchman rear axles, winters quick change rear, fully avo coilovers, DSS control arms and the list goes on and on.
Thanks ab

Hey I'm the new guy on the Boards. Purchased a 2000 GTS stock with 11000 miles. This is the latest of my collection, including a mint 78 Ford Ranger Lariat, a 68 numbers matching Charger R/T, a 69 Super Bee, a 64 Coupe DeVille, a 68 Buick Skylark, and my 34 Ford Old Skool Rod. I'm also a bit of a diesel nut. For pure driving pleasure this Viper is tops - it's quick, loud, obnoxious, and rough. Just how I like em.

I'm located in northern Alberta (Edmonton area). Any neighbors nearby?

Not at all new to car forums.. but new to this one.

Don't have a Viper at the moment... I have a 96 Cobra for a race car that is now carbureted and completely built myself... I even removed the stock wiring harness and designed the new electrical circuit that runs the car.

Viper has always been a childhood dream car of mine, and I'm finally getting to the point where I am ready to pick one up in this next year or so. So I signed up to become more familiar with them and get an idea for the market.

Having a Cobra and a Viper in the garage together is definitely a wet dream of mine from 4th grade.

Thanks!

I probably should be saving my money towards a house instead, but I'm young... plenty of time for a house later. Haha

Not new to this forum just never had anything to say. Been driving the wheels off a 2000 GTS here in Nor Cal for the last four years. I'm right in the middle of installing a 5 lb Paxton,Belanger headers, Borla Cat Back, T&D Rockers, Gen III Brakes. The motor is stock with 57,000 mile looking to build a good one down the road after I use up what's left of this one. Upgraded Fuel system , 10 lb pulley, Forged Pistons you know the drill.
