Question 9 Sec 1/4 mile HP?

Hi, I'm fairly new to all this but, is there a round about HP range that would let you achieve a 9.9 or so in the 1/4? Provided all the other conditions are right, tires, driveline, ect. This is on a 98 GTS stock weight with 6 spd. Thanks

700-750 RWHP should get you into the 9s.

Alot of it depends on weight...The Viper (3400lbs) + a skinny ass driver (150lbs) would need 705 wheel HP to get a 9.99.

Right at about 134 mph in the 1/4 mile = a 9.9 ET if you did everything *perfect*.
Good luck.

He needs a few phone books to sit on...so he can see over the wheel. He kind looks like KilRoy(with a helment) was here in a Viper. Norm told me to say that Jayson

Click the "Timeslips" button at the top of the screen and get a good idea on horsepower and 1/4 mile numbers.

No one even came close to his fastest time ...... it must have given Jason a thrill driving and building the fastest pump gas car IN THE WORLD!

He didn't even have to topple any governments for his victory.

I would call that WORLD DOMINATION !
