Hey there gents! Told ya I’d have more issues for you lol! First off let me apologize for this long post but I need to try and find the c**t who did this shiznit to my car before my ownership. I’m hoping you gentlemen might have seen this car at some point on your adventures and asked yourself who the f**k would do a purple baseball-stitched “custom” interior on a red car? Then ask yourself who would get rid of the air bag system in order to put tv’s in the fiberglass and bondo “custom” dash? This car apparently came from the wisconsin or Minnesota area? Perhaps you fellers in that neck of the woods would know? I decided that purple wasn’t my color and ripped the entire interior out of the car and was horrified to find a level of butchery hitherto unknown. To start, the genius decided moving the Small gauges from the dash Down to the Center consol would be a bright idea. This meant deleting the parking brake. Seriously. Then in place of those gauges install two awful screens for mirror-mounted cameras. But just getting rid of the gauges in that area wasn’t enough. Oh no. They got rid of the ac vents as well. Who needs ac I guess? They then proceeded to hack the top of the dash and window defroster box to make room for their duct tape and wiring shenanigans. Sprinkle in a raped sports bar pad and blown speaker bulkhead and you wind up with a bill from a viper scrap yard that will make any man wince. I’m gonna try to add some pics to give you guys a peek into my hell. Luckily along with the car I got the original driver and passenger air bags. The passenger air bag however doesn’t have the cover. Replace meant bags are a bargain at $1500 so I’d love to avoid this added expense. All of this, though, leads me to my question is anyone here can help me track just the cover? Thanks again for reading my little rant and hopefully you guys can help me out
You didn't have to buy THIS one. But, you made the decision so don't come here complaining.
Well unfortunately this is the only one I could land in financially So I did have to TRADE for THIS one. I got a deal no mortal could walk away from so I’m not complaining. Thankfully I’m a handy guy so I knew this would be a project I could tackle. Just wanted to share my findings with you folks and hopefully find some missing parts but maybe I was wrong in thinking this was a car community I could vent to.
Hell no. The car is in fantastic garage kept shape. I’m almost done with the interior. Just need to finish making seat lowering kit and dash pad install. Once I’m done the car will be a great example of an rt lol. Parts car.... 🤣
