Idle air control and idle screw tune question

Question trying to adjust my idle screw to factory.

Do I need to unplug the iac before starting the car to adjust idle screw then shut off car and plug back in iac? Or do I leave iac plugged in?
Do I do this cold or hot? Or is there another method

New supercharger installed and getting a rough cold idle but normal once temps up. No leaks anywhere suspecting idle and iac sync at cold idle

You do not adjust the idle with a screw. The IAC does it all.

The PCM adjusts the idle air control motor based on inputs it receives. The inputs affect idle speed including throttle position crankshaft position, engine coolant temperature, plus brake switch and air conditioning request signals. By increasing airflow when the throttle blade closes quickly at road speeds, the PCM prevents deceleration die out.

Since the install is new, it may take several days worth of trips for the ECU to set its adaptive values and smooth the cold start idle issues.
